TheIn ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the TheIn mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.

Usage data. We track the number of AI analyses you perform each day to enforce free-tier limits. This data is stored in our database and associated with your account.

Photos. Photos you submit for analysis are converted to base64 and sent directly to our AI processing service. Photos are never stored on our servers. They are processed in memory and immediately discarded after the analysis is returned to your device.

Subscription data. If you subscribe to TheIn Pro, payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) through RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card information.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the App's core features
To enforce daily usage limits and subscription entitlements
To authenticate your account and maintain your session
To communicate important updates or support responses

3. AI Processing

The In does not store your photos. However, when you submit a photo for analysis, it is transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic may process and retain this data according to their own privacy policy at https://www.anthropic.com/privacy.

4. Data Storage

Account and usage data are stored securely using Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Processors

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate the App, and only to the extent required to provide our services. These processors include:

Supabase — account authentication, session storage, and usage data (hosted on AWS).
Anthropic — AI analysis of photos and context you submit. When you use the photo analysis feature, your image data and selected context are sent to the Anthropic Claude API for processing. Anthropic is an independent company and processes this data under their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review Anthropic's Privacy Policy to understand how they handle submitted data.
RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management. Payment is processed by Apple or Google; we do not receive your payment card information.
Apple / Google — app distribution and in-app purchase processing.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Daily usage records are automatically reset each day. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Children's Privacy

TheIn is intended for users 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above or through in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
